About Our Business

Paula Middleditch opened 'The Chiropody Clinic' in October 1998. She qualified from the Durham School of Chiropody in 1988 and worked for her first 10 years at City Hospitals Sunderland, where she gained invaluable experience in all aspects of Chiropody. Her last 2 years with the trust she worked as a Diabetic Liason Chiropodist gaining an indepth knowledge of the foot in association with Diabetes. Paula started the business single handedly and has built up an impressive successful business in the last eleven years. At present there are four associates, one male and three female.

Our primary services include all aspects of chiropodial care to provide comfortable,healthy feet and good foot knowledge and education. We also offer a host of specialty services to cater for the difficult to treat conditions such as verrucaes, ingrowing toe nails, flat feet, heel spurs and a range of custom made insoles tailored for the individual.

Our associates and staff serve a wide range of individuals, corporations, residential homes and care homes and are experts in the field of chiropody and podiatry.

WHAT IS A PODIATRIST?

There is no difference between the terminology of Chiropodist & Podiatrist.

Podiatry is the american terminology which is being phased into the uk. All professionals at this practice have studied for a degree in Podiatric Medicine, which involves the same training be it if you call yourself a Chiropodist or a Podiatrist.
